Construction site traffic Entenwerder
A rotary drilling rig is delivered in the night of March 10/11, 2025.
Construction preparations for the eastern abutments of the bridge at the tip of Elbpark Entenwerder have been underway since 10.02.2025. To this end, the construction site covering an area of approx. 2,200 square meters and the associated construction road through Entenwerder Park will be created first. Most of the construction site traffic will take place in the park until the end of March 2025. Around 110 transports are expected, including around 80 truck transports (entry and exit), and the remaining transports will be used to deliver other construction equipment and materials (e.g. for the production of sheet piling).
Up to and including July 2025, a further 70 or so transports (entry and exit) are expected.
Lifting in the bridge superstructure
The bridge superstructure is expected to be lifted into place in late summer 2025. The approx. 135-metre-long and approx. 7-metre-wide structure with its sweeping and dynamic gesture will then visibly span the mouth of the Oberhafenkanal into the Norderelbe for the first time. A two-way cycle path and a footpath run above it. Recreation areas are also planned at the bridgeheads.
