Public participation

Urban development for Hamburg residents

On behalf of the Free and Hanseatic City, Billebogen Entwicklungsgesellschaft (BBEG) is also responsible for communication on neighborhood development. Current topics are communicated transparently and suggestions and needs of the neighborhood can be brought in through various formats. There are numerous opportunities for this.

Regular dialog

The BBEG regularly provides information on ongoing planning and construction projects at public committee meetings of the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly. Until mid-2024, reporting took place in the "Elbbrücken" committee, since then in the urban planning committee. The documents for the meetings can be found at the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly meeting service.

Local citizens in Rothenburgsort can contact the district council set up by the district assembly. BBEG is in regular contact with the board of the district council and also reports on individual topics at its invitation during public district council meetings.

The BBEG works together with the Urban Workshop of the Ministry for Urban Development and Housing for city-wide formats. For example, two city workshops were held on the Elbbrücken Stadteingang framework plan.

As part of the urban development planning process, participation is continued by or in cooperation with the Urban and Landscape Planning Department of the Hamburg-Mitte district office. The Hamburg-Mitte district office provides information on these opportunities for participation on its website.
